Hi everybody,

as part of the document day, I created Xen 4.3 related documents and Ian
& George covered a few others. Please have a look and start adding to them.

http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Category:Xen_4.3 - all Xen 4.3 related documents

http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_Release_Features - has undegone major
surgery and will need review. There are also still a few TODO's and in
some cases we have to decide whether a feature is experimental or tech
preview

http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_4.3_Feature_List - needs detail and needs
to be aligned with what is in and out

http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/Xen_4.3_Man_Pages - links will be broken until
http://xenbits.xen.org/docs/4.3-testing is created. If there are any new
documents, I need to know

Feel free to add to these as needed (or reply to this thread).

Regards
Lars

I fixed what was obvious, but I wonder where the OVMF/Tianocore
line originates from: This was disabled in 4.2 (as it didn't build except
with one specific gcc version iirc), and I didn't see its state change
in -unstable. And in any event - afaict - this is at best experimental.

The description for vPMU is stated with
"Virtual Power Management Unit for HVM guests".
On xen-devel vPMU is normally meant to be
"Virtual Performance Monitoring Unit"

So what is meant here?

Dietmar.

Probably the latter.

Thank you Jan. Looking at the logs this line came from Ian Campbell
(added this to 4.2 on Sept 10 2012).
I am happy to mark this as disabled (footnote [4]) and/or experimental.
Any views?

That is a good question. Again, looking at the logs, Ian Campbell added
these in the same batch as the item above. Probably just a typo. Please
somebody make a call and advise. I guess if it is Virtual Performance
Monitoring Unit, this line should probably also go into the "Tooling" header

Thanks for the review so far and spotting issues

Lars

Then this entry should also be marked with
[ 4 ] Disabled by default (enable with hypervisor command line option)
as the vpmu flag must be specfied to enable the vPMU.

Dietmar.

I saw your reply to this already, so we seem to be all in agreement
that this is a typo...

OK with me.

I'm inclined to blame my own ignorance about what vPMU is, I seem to
remember someone (Dietmar?) correcting me on this other times too...

Ian.
