Only 5 days left till the first batch gets removed.

I don't know what we should do with these for the best. The end result
will be maemo being near enough totally removed from OE which sends out
the wrong message. I would ultimately like to see maemo in OE...
Maybe a contender for moving to non-working?

I'd second this - I would be interested to update it, but won't have
a chance for some time. But it's pretty important package to remove
any trace of it from HEAD.

This can be a problem for Opie, since we used the no-dbus version for
quite some time to save space.

In that case we can't remove the no-dbus version needed by opie.

Does someone tested OPIE with dbus version at all? How much does extra
packages take etc? Without such testing sentence 'do not remove
bluez*nodbus because OPIE needs it' does not have sense.
I also would like to get rid of bluez 2.x because it will be unmaintained
software soon due to fact that everyone switched to 3.x versions.

We have SCM so anyone can find traces of anything which was removed from
OE metadata.
Having software forgotten by upstream is not a good thing for me. If you
want to fix mono situation make it atleast fetchable so it can be build.

I agree here, but removing it in such manner hardly helpful either.
Is anything magic in those 2 weeks which are given stuff in
removal.txt? We can have 1 month, 2 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year
removal periods. That "6 months" fits bluez2 pretty well, IMHO.

This can be good read for those which still use task-bootstrap.

I pushed back removal to next week, but I still haven't noticed anyone using it, so it
will go away next week.

Dear Koen
I was using it in order to create a small image for my pxa270
development which i do currently .
but i was not satisfied with the installation afterwards when i
installed gtk and X onto it.
I bet task-base will do the same for my needs. I planned to use the
minimlistic image i can get and then only install my additions one by
one and end up with the smallest
footprint possible, but i am sure task-base will do that trick also
Cheers

Hi,
Being rather new to OE, I think I did a few days ago. Might it be an idea to check the documentation before removing it:

Thanks Martin for the hint. I blindly replaced all occurrences of
task-bootstrap with task-base on the pages you mentioned.
Using the wiki search, I also found http://www.openembedded.org/oetodo
and http://www.openembedded.org/firstproject but did not feel like they
needed to be changed.
