hi,

I'm just evaluating to use Cyclades PC300 card instead of a Cisco router... and 'cause I have never used such boards so I wanted to know will I be able to do egress shaping on this board ?
(It should be connected to the ISP with FrameRelay protocol (V35)) ... and as far as I can understand it will be seen in linux as hdslN device !! (not sure).

So will I be able to work with it as a normal ethernet device ?!

Sorry for the stupid question, but I have to be sure it will work

thanx alot
raptor

Hi,
if I known there is no problem with QoS on Synchronnous card. The devices
are hdlc0, hdlc1...
BUT frame-relay use own tools for QoS on provider side, it's known as
signaling. You will have problem e.g. with latency because frame-relay have
own strategy with prioritization of traffic.
