* [PATCH] misc: xilinx_sdfec: validate LDPC code register offsets

The LDPC code register helpers check the target MMIO address after adding
code_id * XSDFEC_LDPC_REG_JUMP to the register base. code_id is supplied
through the ioctl path, so the multiplication and addition can wrap before
the bounds check.

Validate the code_id against the register window size before computing
the final address, then write using the checked address.

welp, I guess I learned the hard way with the hastiness of my V3, (that's
kinda why I dropped p2 and p3)

As I suggested in my reply to your hasty v2, taking a few *days*
between versions is generally a good thing. it gives the reviewers
time to chime in, and gives you the opportunity to reflect on what
you've just written (reading your own patches after a few days is a
sure way to go and rewrite them).

Actually, by posting more often, you are guaranteeing that people
*avoid* reviewing your stuff, since odds are that there is a new
version coming in the next 10 minutes, so why bother...

But hey, that's free advice, so it's probably worthless.

This you can drop, not relevant and such redundant logs only make it
more difficult to understand the error message. I asked only to paste

The HDMI CEC driver for both mt7623 and mt8167 is actually the same as

entries. Correct the binding by adding the correct fallback.

This change fixes the following dtbs_check errors:

What's fixed here?

A potential future change of the __secure_computing() return value
requires that _ALL_ callsites of that function have to be audited
and fixed up, no?

So the change is not a fix it's an optimization to get rid of the extra
conditional.

If you really want to sanitize this, then change the
__secure_computing() return type to boolean (true = allow, false =
fail) and fixup the two dozen or so call sites.

Add new helper macro fwnode_graph_for_each_endpoint_scoped() and use it
simplify media code.

Typical example should qualcomm's driver (camss.c), the v4l2_mc.c and
rkisp1-dev.c only silience improvement.

Anyways, *_for_each_*_scoped() already use widely and make code clean.

Build test only.

"Add common helper library for 1-to-1 subdev registration", I found need
camss.c pattern, so I create this small improvement firstly.

Similar to recently propose for_each_child_of_node_scoped() this new
version of the loop macro instantiates a new local struct fwnode_handle *
that uses the __free(fwnode_handle) auto cleanup handling so that if a
reference to a node is held on early exit from the loop the reference will
be released. If the loop runs to completion, the child pointer will be NULL
and no action will be taken.

The reason this is useful is that it removes the need for
fwnode_handle_put() on early loop exits. If there is a need to retain the
reference, then return_ptr(child) or no_free_ptr(child) may be used to
safely disable the auto cleanup.
