Thanks for the tip.

It turns out that the problems are with the XDA2. Installing a different stack on the XDA2 solved the problem.

The microsoft stack doesn't work with network access, so is doomed from the start.

- Hi Richard,
>>>
 Hello Marcel

dund needs the RFCOMM TTY support. No matter what.
>>>
Yes I understand that much. However that was the only way to get any sort of error logged. The problem I am having is getting any info (from log files or otherwise).

Without any logfiles or hcidump or any other clues, how should we find
    your problem.
>>>
hcidump I can manage I am sure, I'll get that sent off as soon as I get back home.

As far as log files go, there seems to be nothing to send you. That's what I could do with help with. The only entry in the log is dund starting, after that there is nothing. The odd thing is that the pocket pc gets as far as saying it has connected to the port, but fails to do anything else.

What if anything should I try to get some usable output?

Thanks

Richard

Hello everyone,

Hope you can help, because this has got me stumped.

I am trying to use dund to allow my pocket pc 2003 device to connect to my
home network. And it won't work, having checked all the log files there is
nothing in them at all relating to this. If I remove rfcomm tty support from
the kernel, then I do get entries saying that rfcomm can't connect. But with
it enabled there isn't a peep out of anything at all, dund, rfcomm and pppd
are all silent.

rfcomm can be connected to serial ports on my other pc, so everything seems
to work ok.

I have a Belken USB dongle, and slackware 9.1 with the 2.6.4 kernel, I have
the latest BlueZ packages.

Hope someone has some ideas of what to try to find the problem.

Thanks

Richard
