This series adds support for a multifunctional register block
called PRCM in the Tenstorrent Atlantis SoC, whose main functionality
is to serve clocks and resets. This block is instantiated multiple
times in the SoC, with each block covering clock/resets from a
different subsystem. This series also adds a driver that covers clocks
and resets from the RCPU subsystem, which covers most low speed IO
interfaces found in the chip. The reset controller is implemented as
an auxiliary device of the clock controller and shares the same regmap
as it.

The first commit adds bindings documenting the PRCM block, along with
clock and reset indices. The second commit adds the reset controller
driver along with the auxdev definitions needed for it. The third commit
adds the clock controller driver, and the reset controller is created as
an auxdev of it.

Changes in v5:
- Replaced to_atlantis_*/hw_to_atlantis_* macros with static inline functions in clk and reset driver
- Add Rb tags from Philipp Zabel
- Link to v4: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20260130-atlantis-clocks-v4-0-46de52d52924@oss.tenstorrent.com

Changes in v4:
- Dropped !rcpu prcms and custom property used by them. Will be added
later with rest of clock tree
- Link to v3: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20260126-atlantis-clocks-v3-0-b016135551b7@oss.tenstorrent.com

Changes in v3:
- Fixed warnings reported by kernel test bot
- Addressed comments on reset driver bit set/unset value
- Changed auxdev macros to use inline functions
- Renamed bindings and clock driver to use block's name of "PRCM" rather
  than syscon
- Link to v2: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20260122-atlantis-clocks-v2-0-c66371639e66@oss.tenstorrent.com

Changes in v2:
- Improve the documentation about the syscon block in bindings
- Implemented all clks using custom ops
- Removed custom lock/lock handling functions for regmap
- Addressed comments on header file ordering, newlines and typos
- Removed code for mux parent setting
- Squashed down multiple commits that added reset/auxdev separately

Document bindings for Tenstorrent Atlantis PRCM that manages clocks
and resets. This block is instantiated multiple times in the SoC.
This commit documents the clocks from the RCPU PRCM block.

Adds Atlantis Reset Controller and auxiliary device definitions for
reset to share same regmap interface as prcm (clock controller).

This version of the reset controller driver covers resets from the RCPU
prcm.

Add driver for clock controller in Tenstorrent Atlantis SoC. This version
of the driver coves clocks from RCPU syscon.

5 types of clocks generated by this controller: PLLs (PLLs
with bypass functionality and an additional Gate clk at output), Shared
Gates (Multiple Gate clks that share an enable bit), standard Muxes,
Dividers and Gates. All clocks are implemented using custom clk ops and
use the regmap interface associated with the syscon. All clocks are derived
from a 24 Mhz oscillator.

The reset controller is also setup as an auxiliary device of the clock
controller.

Still wrong name. Look how is your compatible called.

Nothing in the changelog explained why 2 other compatibles were dropped.

Still wrong name... Look at your compatible.

Please read writing bindings doc in DT dir.

Why are clock registers added to a global SoC header?

Do not create system wide header with your entire register space. It
serves no purpose, breaks encapsulation and enncourages sloppy
programming liked drivers poking everywhere.

Best regards,
Krzysztof

Drop, there is no driver-wide user of this.

Same here.

Do not add symbols to headers which nothing uses. These are private to
the driver so they must stay ONLY in the driver.

Krzysztof

The definitions in these files are shared between the clock and reset
driver (which are in drivers/clk/tenstorrent/ and drivers/reset/),
hence they have been put here.

I have mentioned in the changelog in the cover letter that these will
be added back when the driver for them is added (based on my
discussion with Conor).

We will have multiple compatibles in the future (I dropped these in
this version and I have mentioned this in the changelog in the cover
letter) named "tenstorrent,atlantis-prcm-xyz". The bindings document
suggests picking a more generic name in this case, so isn't
"tenstorrent,atlantis-prcm" okay for that?

Maybe you will, maybe not. But you do not have now.

Where did you mention it? I went TWICE through it.

No, because I don't want to keep guessing this. The docs clearly ask you
to post complete bindings, which now became less-complete, but fine.
Then the next rule asks you to use compatible as filename. You cannot
keep skipping the rules.

Krzysztof

Ah, but then I wonder why your clock driver needs to access reset driver
structures. Or vice versa. You are only expected to get regmap from the
parent, no?

Yes, it seems to be doable without these structs. I will remove them,
and move the register definitions into the specific drivers.

Conor and I were discussing these in a previous series and were
referring to them as rcpu prcm and !rcpu prcms. I use these terms to
refer to it in "Changes in v4".

I will add all the compatibles back, so there will be 4 of them named
"tenstorrent,atlantis-prcm-xyz". In that case is it appropriate for
the filename to be "tenstorrent,atlantis-prcm.yaml"?

There is no way I could have guessed it. If you remove a compatible you
say "removed compatible" not "removed !rcpu".

I don't think it actually is "less complete" without the other
compatibles. The non-rcpu prcms function differently to the rcpu prcm
(they seem to be consumers of clocks that the rcpu produces) and are not
supported by the drivers in this series. They're different devices and I
think should only be documented when support for them comes along. v4
had problems that were caused by trying to document them without
actually having driver support figured out.

It's fine without them, but then let's just name the file after that
only sole compatible.

Best regards,
Krzysztof

Okay, thank you for clarifying this. I will just add one compatible
and name the bindings file based on that one.

In the future when I add the remaining compatibles (and driver for
them), should I add them to this same bindings file? Can I rename the
file to have a more generic name then? Is renaming bindings files
okay? Or is this something to worry about for later?

Nah, in the future it just keeps the name of one compatible.
