Willem,

Thanks for spending so much time with me on this patch. I’m pretty
new to this, so I know I am making lots of mistakes. I have been
working on a v2 of the selftests in net-next, but want to review the
layout of the report before I submit (see below).

Also, I my v2 fix in net is still up for debate. In its current state, it
meets my application’s requirements, but may not meet all of yours.
I am still open to suggestions, but so far I don’t have an alternate
solution that doesn’t break what I need working.

I also have a question about submitting a fix in net and a related
enhancement in net-next. I feel I should be referencing the fix
in net in my net-next commit, but I don’t know how it should be
done. Any suggestions?

I have it set up as a pass/fail test. Below is a sample output of the
test, including a failure on IPv6 TCP Zerocopy audit (a failure that may
lead to a memory leak). I wanted to review the report with you before
I push up the v2 patch into net-next.

Are these extra tests what you were expecting? Is it OK that it doesn’t
flow well? Also, there is a failure about every 3rd time I run it,
indicating that some TX or Zerocopy messages are lost. Is that OK?

Willem,

I also have a question about submitting a fix in net and a related

I have it set up as a pass/fail test. Below is a sample output of the
test, including a failure on IPv6 TCP Zerocopy audit (a failure that may
lead to a memory leak). I wanted to review the report with you before

Are these extra tests what you were expecting? Is it OK that it doesn’t

indicating that some TX or Zerocopy messages are lost. Is that OK?
