I don't have access to the beta, but maybe someone else does and would
enjoy doing it.
The reviews seem to imply that they are building versioning into the FS,
or at least that you can browse version history as though files were
directories. Sounds like they are doing something right. I would love
to see the patches written to do that for Reiser4.
SQL still sucks though.;-)

Hans,
This is a semi-silly request under the category of polish.
Could you make the filesystem type name for reiserfs version
4 be shorter please? Seven chars or less so reiser4 or rfs4
would be good.
The reason i ask this is because as much as i like reiserfs
(v3) for local filesystems the fact that the fstype overflows
a tab makes documentation and /etc/fstab ugly or awkward do
edit. I know it is a minor nit to pick but it is still
annoying.
Not a member of the rieserfs mailing list but there is no
need to reply to me.

You mount it as reiser4, which is why in writing documentation I get
torn between calling it ReiserFS V4 and Reiser4.

Whether the length was intentional or not, thanks.
Sorry about the subject line, sloppiness on my part.

It was based on mailing list feedback that they knew it was an FS.
