I think those 2 printk would be useful even in non-debug mode. If you
don't want to print them all the time, you can use
printk(XENLOG_DEBUG "your msg")

Another board support in xen, thanks!
For next series you send, can you add the maintainers in cc? You can use

If they are variants then I think they should be in the same file and
this new one should be added to the compatible list there, and perhaps
some is_compatible put where the variations differ.
If they are completely different SoCs which just happen to have some
omap related similarities then I think platforms/omap-common.[ch] should
be created to hold the stuff which can be reused.

Please put whatever definitions you need into the .c file, this will
stop platform details getting leaked into the remainder of Xen.
(the existing platform headers were a historical mistake IMHO)
If you go the omap-common route then put the header in
xen/arch/arm/platforms/ and #include "omap-common.h" rather than <>.

I think this should be done in common code, either by default (if that
makes sense) or using a new quirk flag.

How does this relate to omap5432 which has a UART at 0x48020000?
This depends on my previous question about how similar these platforms
are. If they are just variants which have similar UARTs at the same
address but your platform just happens to use UART1 instead or UART0
then perhaps these should be called omap5-uart0 and omap5-uart1 etc?
Ian.

Both of these solutions doesn't make sense to me. A device which is not
available should not be touch by the kernel. In most of the case, Linux
ignores a device which is not available (see amba/platform register code).
For instance, some board has the same SOC but with different devices
enabled/disabled. In this case, there is usually a common device tree
with all enabled/disabled, and a specific device tree which override
some properties.
If OMAP does weird thinks with the device tree, then we should keep it
in the platform code.

They are really different SoCs. A lot of changes were dropped from
DRA7 - voltagedomains, powerdomains, clocks are really different.
In TI kernels OMAP5 and DRA7 definitions live separately in different
files. In kernel 3.4 - separate HW specific defs in *.c files, in
kernel 3.8 and later - separate device tree blobs.

platform_blacklist has been create to blacklist devices for a specific
platform. I don't think other platform will do a such weird think.
handle_node is actually quite complex, there is lots of different case
to skip a node. So I don't feel confident to add a quirk (and therefore
few lines mores) in this function.
So unless there is a good reason to skip blacklist, that does what we
want, I would prefer to use the current solution. And maybe we will be
able to remove it one day...

Can you make this "bool_t not_available" please.

I'd actually prefer DT_MATCH_AVAILABLE(true) / BT_MATCH_AVAILABLE(false)
but I see that would interact in complicated ways with the while loop up
above (requiring you to or-in a present flag or something gross).
Since the not available case is most likely to be the useful one I think
we can live with what you have.
Ian.
